Obverse description Full-length effigy of Prince Lazar Hrebeljanović standing facing, holding a sceptre in his right hand. Triangular dot groupings punctuate the field on either side of the figure. A Cyrillic inscription reading 'Prince Lazar' encircles the central design within a beaded or linear border. The rendering is characteristic of late medieval Serbian hammered coinage, with a stylized, hieratic quality typical of the period.
