| 裏面の説明 | Christ Pantokrator enthroned in majesty, seated facing on a low-backed throne in the Byzantine tradition, robed and nimbed. He holds the Book of Gospels in his left hand while his right hand is extended in a gesture of benediction. Mintmarks appear in the left and right fields flanking the throne. The abbreviated Greek Christological legend appears in the fields to either side of the figure. |

Lazar Hrebeljanović minted this dinar during the fragmented period following the Ottoman defeat of the Serbian Empire at the Maritsa River in 1371, when he was consolidating authority over a patchwork of competing Serbian lords rather than ruling as a recognized king. He held the title of prince — knez — never crowned king, yet his mint output rivals that of earlier Serbian monarchs in volume. His reign ended at Kosovo Polje in June 1389, where he was captured and executed after the battle, later canonized by the Serbian Orthodox Church.
