| 正面描述 | Inscription in four lines in medieval Cyrillic script across the field, reading the names and titles of the co-rulers Lazar and Đurađ. The legend is arranged horizontally within a beaded border encircling the entire die. Small decorative marks or pellets flank the uppermost line of text. The lettering is bold and characteristic of early 15th-century Serbian hammered coinage. |

Lazar Lazarević ruled as a Hungarian vassal after the catastrophic Ottoman defeat of the Serbs at Kosovo in 1389, and this joint coinage with his brother Đurađ Branković reflects the careful dynastic positioning of the Lazarević house during a period when Serbian lords were simultaneously paying tribute to the Porte and receiving titles from Budapest. The co-regency arrangement was as much a survival mechanism as a governing structure.
