Obverse description Central field occupied by multiple horizontal lines of bold Mamluk Arabic script in relief, presenting the sultan's titles and honorifics. The name 'Lajin' (لاجين) appears prominently in the upper register, followed by lines reading the sultan's laqab 'Husam al-Dunya wa al-Din' (حسام الدنيا والدين). The legends are framed within a plain inner border surrounded by an outer beaded or rope-pattern marginal border. The hammered flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with standard Mamluk gold dinar production. The relief lettering is bold and deeply struck, displaying the characteristic cursive Mamluk chancellery style.
