The Christological monogram IC-XC appears divided to either side of the bust in Cyrillic characters, with the sigla N-O flanking the lower portion of the figure. The overall style reflects the Byzantine iconographic tradition prevalent in Serbian medieval coinage of the mid-fourteenth century. |
