Obverse description Central field depicts a rampant lion facing left, rendered in the medieval heraldic style, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A six-pointed star appears in the lower field beneath the lion. The surrounding Cyrillic legend reads +ГNЬ ДЕСПОТЬ ГЮРГЬ (Sir Despot Đurađ), disposed around the periphery of the coin. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered medieval Serbian coinage, with the legend partially visible depending on strike placement.
