| Beschrijving keerzijde | Epigraphic field divided into four horizontal lines of Arabic legend in bold Kufic script, filling the central field. The upper line bears the mint name 'Bukhara', followed by the first part of the Islamic profession of faith (Shahada): 'La ilaha illa Allah / wahdahu la sharika lahu / Muhammad rasul Allah' (There is no god but God, alone without partner; Muhammad is the messenger of God). The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with the hammered production technique typical of early Mongol coinage struck at Central Asian mints. |
