Obverse description Epigraphic field bearing three horizontal lines of Arabic legend in bold, angular Kufic script occupying the central field of the flan. The inscription reads the name and titles of Chingiz Khan, rendered as 'Chingiz Khan / al-'Adil / al-A'zam' (Genghis Khan, the Just, the Greatest). The flan is irregular and slightly convex, characteristic of hand-struck Mongol gold coinage, with no border ornament or decorative framing around the legend.
