| Reverse description | Concentric circular register composition mirroring the obverse layout, with Arabic inscriptions arranged in multiple annular bands surrounding a central pellet or small roundel. The intermediate registers contain formulaic religious phrases and the name or title of the Ziyadid ruler al-Muzzafar b. 'Ali, while the outer marginal band bears a continuation of the mint and date legends. The hammered flan exhibits the characteristic irregular edge and slightly uneven strike typical of medieval Islamic gold coinage produced at Zabid. |
