Obverse description Central field bears three lines of bold Kufic Arabic script arranged horizontally, reading the shahada declaration. The inscription is executed in raised relief in a clear, formal epigraphic style characteristic of early Umayyad coinage. A circular marginal legend encircles the central text, separated by a beaded inner border. The entire design is purely epigraphic with no figural or symbolic elements, following the aniconic reform coinage introduced under Caliph Abd al-Malik. The flan is slightly irregular, as is typical of hammered gold dinars of this period.
