| Description de l’avers | Hammered gold dinar of irregular flan exhibiting multiple stacked lines of Arabic Kufic and Naskh legend arranged in concentric registers across the field. The central area bears the Shahada and the mint-and-date formula, reading that this dinar was struck in Madinat al-Salam (Baghdad) in the year 622 AH. A marginal circular legend runs along the inner border. The surfaces display the characteristically uneven relief and slightly off-centre strike typical of Abbasid hammered coinage of this period. |

| Description du revers | Reverse field of this hammered gold dinar filled with multiple horizontal lines of Arabic legend in Kufic and Naskh scripts, naming the Abbasid Caliph al-Zahir bi-Amr Allah, Commander of the Faithful. The central inscriptions are arranged in stacked bands occupying the majority of the flan, with a circular marginal legend incorporating a Quranic verse (Rum 30:4-5) surrounding the field. The irregular flan edge and typical die-axis variation are consistent with Abbasid hand-struck gold coinage of the early 7th century AH. |
