| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field displays a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Kufic script, arranged in horizontal lines within an inner circle, recording the Islamic profession of faith and the name of the ruling Seljuq sultan as overlord. A circular marginal legend in Arabic script borders the central field, separated by a double-line circle. The reverse follows the standard Abbasid dinar format, with the mention of the Prophet Muhammad as the messenger of God and additional honorific or mint-related formulae. The flan is irregular and slightly bevelled at the edge, consistent with the hammered production technique of Abbasid gold coinage. |
