Reverse description Central field divided into multiple horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic script proclaiming religious formulae and the titles and name of the caliph al-Mustakfi Billah, Commander of the Faithful. A circular marginal legend in Arabic Kufic script runs along the inner ring, with a further outer marginal inscription completing the design. The reverse follows the standard Abbasid dinar format established under earlier caliphs, with no decorative motifs beyond the inscriptions themselves. The coin is struck on an irregularly shaped hammered flan typical of medieval Islamic gold coinage of this period.
