Reverse description The reverse displays four horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic script in the central field, naming the Caliph Abd al-Rahman and citing the Quranic verse of victory (Quran 9:33). The central inscription is enclosed within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a marginal Kufic legend. A beaded border frames the entire design at the periphery. The lettering is deeply struck and bold, consistent with the refined calligraphic standards of the Córdoban Umayyad mint during the reign of Abd al-Rahman III.
