Obverse description Frontal bust of the Kidarite king in high relief, wearing an elaborate crested helmet or crown adorned with pellets and foliate ornaments. The king holds a trident before a fire altar, rendered in the characteristic schematic style of late Kushan-era coinage. The figure displays typical Kidarite royal regalia including ornate shoulder decorations. The field is plain, and the design exhibits the bold, stylized engraving characteristic of hammered Central Asian gold coinage of the 5th century.
