Above the animal, the magistrate's name and the ethnic of the issuing city appear in two lines of Greek inscription: ΤΙΜΗΣΙΛ(ΑΟΣ) above and ΠΑΡΙ(ΩΝ) below, identifying both the responsible magistrate and the city of Paros. The composition is contained within a plain circular border.
