The magistrate's name ΠΕΙΣΙΚΡΑΤΗΣ is inscribed in the field, accompanied by the ethnic abbreviation Ρ Ο, identifying the issuing city of Rhodes. The composition is rendered in the crisp, well-organized style typical of Rhodian didrachm coinage of the early Hellenistic period. |
