Reverse description A rose in full bloom with stem and a single lateral bud, the civic badge of Rhodes, occupies the central field. To the left or right of the rose, a Macedonian-style shield is depicted in side view. The magistrate's name ΠΕΙΣΙΚΡΑΤΗΣ is inscribed in the field, accompanied by the ethnic abbreviation Ρ Ο, identifying the issuing city of Rhodes. The composition is rendered in the crisp, well-organized style typical of Rhodian didrachm coinage of the early Hellenistic period.
