背面描述 Central swastika symbol, a solar and auspicious motif commonly employed on Parataraja coinage, rendered with pronounced curved arms radiating outward from the central hub. Surrounding the swastika, a Brahmi legend is disposed around the periphery of the flan, naming the issuing ruler Datarvharna. The inscription is arranged in a circular fashion, with individual aksharas legible across the upper and lower registers of the die. The overall composition is typical of the reverse types of the western Kshatrapa and Parataraja copper series, combining religious symbolism with royal titulature.

附加信息

The Paratarajas — "Great Kings" in a title borrowed from Parthian convention — were Indo-Scythian rulers operating in the lower Indus region, issuing coinage largely independent of the Kushan imperial system to their north. Datarvharna is among the more obscure rulers of this dynasty; the sequence and precise dating of Parataraja kings remains contested, reconstructed almost entirely from coin evidence rather than inscriptions or written sources.

Copper didrachms of this type are poorly represented in institutional collections, making die studies difficult.
