| Beschrijving voorzijde | Youthful bare head of Apollo-Carneius facing left, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with naturalistic modelling of the facial features. The hair is elaborately arranged in thick, wavy locks swept back from the forehead and falling in layered curls behind the ear. A small ram's horn of Ammon curls forward above the ear, identifying the deity with the syncretic Libyan cult of Ammon. The field is plain, and no legend appears on this side. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Kyrene's silver coinage of this period was struck under shifting political control — the city passed from the Ptolemaic sphere under Ophellas, then briefly under Magas, who governed as a semi-independent dynast from around 300 BC onward and would eventually declare outright independence from Egypt circa 276 BC. The didrachm weight standard Kyrene maintained during this window reflects a deliberate alignment with Ptolemaic monetary policy before that break, making pieces from the later end of this date range transitionally significant.
The SNG Copenhagen variance noted against the primary type has not been fully resolved in the literature.
