Obverse description Facing three-quarter bust of Helios, the sun god and patron deity of Rhodes, rendered in high relief with characteristic flowing, wind-swept hair radiating outward from his youthful, idealised visage. The face is turned very slightly to the right, with deeply modelled features including almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, and subtly parted lips. The treatment reflects the accomplished sculptural style of early Hellenistic Rhodian coinage, with fine engraving capturing the god's divine radiance. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription.
