背面描述	A powerfully modeled lion, striding right with head lowered, tears ferociously at the severed head of its prey held between its forepaws, the beast's mane rendered in deeply cut overlapping tufts of exceptional artistic quality. A grasshopper appears as a control symbol in the upper field to the left, accompanied by the letter Φ and I. The ethnic legend ΥΕΛΗΤΩΝ is inscribed along the lower exergual line in archaic Greek characters, identifying the coin as an issue of the citizens of Hyele (Velia).
