Reverse description A fully open rose bloom occupies the central field, depicted in front view with broad, rounded petals and a prominent calyx at the base, the Rhodian civic emblem and a punning heraldic device on the city's name (Rhodos). A single rose bud on a curving stem extends to the right of the main flower. The ethnic legend ΡΟΔΙΟΝ arcs above in the upper field, while the magistrate's monogram ΝΙ appears in the lower left field, accompanied by a bee — a secondary control symbol — also in the left field. The composition is bold and well-centred within the hammered flan.
