| Reverse description | A bare female head in profile to right, rendered in the refined Early Classical style characteristic of western Greek coinage of the mid-fifth century BC. The hair is elaborately dressed in voluminous, layered locks swept back from the face and bound, with loose curling tresses falling at the nape. The facial features are finely modelled with a smooth brow, well-defined eye, and slightly parted lips, consistent with idealized divine or nymph imagery common to Siculo-Punic issues of this period. The field is plain and unlettered. |
