Obverse description Winged demonic figure rendered in archaic style, shown in the running-kneeling posture (knielauf) moving to the right. A floral motif occupies the upper left field and a second flower appears in the lower right field. The design is contained within a dotted border, characteristic of early Thraco-Macedonian coinage of the late Archaic period.

Reverse description Deep quadripartite incuse square divided into four triangular sections by two diagonal raised ridges intersecting at the centre, creating an alternating pattern of raised and recessed quarters. This early incuse punch type is typical of the hammered coinage of the Thraco-Macedonian region during the late sixth century BC, serving as the countermark of the reverse die.
