Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena in right profile, the goddess adorned with an earring and necklace. The Attic helmet features a prominent crest and is decorated with three olive leaves above the visor and a spiral palmette on the bowl, rendered in the classical Greek style characteristic of Bactrian coinage of the mid-third century BC.

Reverse description Owl standing to right with head facing forward in the traditional Athenian type, the reverse field bearing the inscription AΘE before the bird. Behind the owl appear a kerykeion, a prow, and a grape bunch on a vine with leaf, the latter two elements serving as distinctive symbols that differentiate this Bactrian imitative issue from its Athenian prototypes.
