| Obverse description | Diademed head of a nymph facing left, her hair elaborately dressed and bound with a stephane, with curling locks falling to the neck. A pendant earring adorns the ear, and a small oenochoe (wine jug) symbol appears in the lower right field. The portrait is rendered in fine Campanian style with naturalistic facial features and high relief. A dotted border encircles the design. |

| Reverse description | Man-headed bull (the river god Acheloos) striding right, with a winged Nike flying above and crowning him with a wreath held in her extended right hand. The bull is depicted with powerful musculature and a bearded human head turned to face forward. A ground line separates the central design from the ethnic legend below in the exergue. The composition is dynamic and characteristic of the finest Neapolitan coinage of the period. |
