Obverse description Central field bears the ornate arms of Zürich — a divided shield per pale, showing a diagonal band — set within an elaborately mantled and decorated cartouche with scrollwork. The shield is surrounded by a beaded inner circle, with the circular Latin legend running between the inner and outer raised rims of the square klippe flan.

Reverse description A nimbate double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the central field, with both heads crowned and turned outward, wings spread, talons visible at base, rendered in the bold hammered style typical of early seventeenth-century Swiss municipal coinage. The date 1620 appears prominently at the top of the legend, which runs between a beaded inner circle and the outer rim of the square klippe flan, punctuated by a floral ornament.
