Obverse description Armored bust of a crowned saint facing right, wearing elaborate plate armor with a ruff collar and holding a scepter in the right hand and an orb surmounted by a cross in the left hand; a nimbus (halo) encircles the crown. A small shield bearing the arms of Chur appears at the lower center of the bust. The circular legend MONETA·NOVA CVRIAE·RETH runs around the periphery within a beaded border.
