Obverse description Central shield bearing the arms of Haguenau — a large ornate rose with petalled lobes and a granulated central boss — set within a plain shield outline. The shield is surrounded by a circular beaded border. The Latin legend runs around the periphery, divided by the shield, reading HAGENOIA IMPERII CAMERA with the date 1614 incorporated into the legend at the top. The flan is irregular, characteristic of hammered coinage of the early seventeenth century.

Reverse description A crowned Imperial double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread and heads facing outward to left and right, each surmounted by a small crown beneath a larger central imperial crown. A central orb or shield is placed on the breast of the eagle. The Latin motto legend encircles the type, reading IVSTITIA MANET IN AETERNVM. The flan is broad but irregular, consistent with hammered production, with a beaded inner border visible around the legend.
