| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing hair secured beneath a laurel wreath. The youthful, idealised effigy displays well-modelled facial features with a prominent brow and delicate profile. The hair falls in thick wavy locks behind the neck, a characteristic representation of the god in Thessalian coinage of the late Republican period. The field is plain and unadorned, with no legend on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | Artemis depicted striding vigorously to the right, clad in a long belted chiton, holding a torch in each hand. The goddess is shown in full figure with dynamic movement, her garment rendered with careful drapery folds typical of late Hellenistic artistic convention. The magistrates' names are inscribed in two columns flanking the central figure: ΝΙΚΟΚΡΑΤΗΣ to the left and ΕΥΒΙΟΤΟΥ to the right, with the ethnic ΘΕΣΣΑΛΩΝ appearing in the field. The composition is well-balanced within the flan, consistent with issues of the Thessalian League under Roman oversight. |
