Reverse description An ibis standing or walking to the right, depicted with its characteristic long curved beak lowered toward the ground and long legs clearly articulated, the sacred bird of Thoth rendered in the schematic style typical of small Alexandrian bronze coinage. The figure occupies the majority of the reverse field within an irregular flan. On dated varieties, a regnal year expressed in Greek numerals preceded by the letter L (etos) appears in the field.
