Obverse description Diademed head of Diodotos Tryphon facing right, the hair rendered in thick, stylized locks with the royal diadem tied at the back, its ends visible behind the neck. The portrait is executed in the Hellenistic tradition, with soft facial modeling and a naturalistic profile. The field is plain, with no encircling legend on this denomination. The flan is irregular in outline, typical of Seleucid bronze coinage of this period.
