Reverse description Standing figure of Artavasdes I at right, depicted full-length facing left, holding a spear in his hand, engaged in an investiture scene. Before him, the goddess Tyche kneels at left, facing right, and extends a wreath toward the king in a gesture of conferring legitimacy and divine favor. A Greek legend surrounds the field, identifying the ruler by his royal titles. The composition reflects strong Hellenistic iconographic influence blended with Iranian dynastic imagery characteristic of Media-Atropatene coinage.
