| Obverse description | Draped bust of King Artavasdes I facing right, wearing a distinctive three-pointed tiara adorned with an annulet or wreath motif, set within a raised rectangular border. To the rear of the royal effigy, Nike is depicted in flight, moving rightward to crown the king with a wreath, a compositional element emblematic of divine royal legitimacy in the Hellenistic tradition. The portrait exhibits the stylized conventions typical of late Hellenistic-Iranian dynastic coinage. |
