| Beschrijving keerzijde | A tripod cauldron on a tall base occupies the central field, flanked on either side by a dolphin curving upward with its tail at the base and its head oriented toward the top of the coin. The composition is tightly balanced, with the two dolphins acting as heraldic supporters to the tripod, a symbol strongly associated with Apollo and widely employed on coinage of Megara. A beaded border runs along the coin's periphery. The overall design reflects the refined but compact style typical of small bronze denominations from the Megarid in the early Hellenistic period. |
