| Obverse description | Laureate and wreathed head of Poseidon facing right, rendered with flowing hair and a full beard in the mature Hellenistic style. A trident, the god's emblematic attribute, is depicted vertically in the left field beside the deity's shoulder. The portrait is boldly modeled in high relief, conveying a commanding divine presence characteristic of Sicilian bronze coinage of the period.
