Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Syrian civic coinage. The portrait exhibits the characteristic short beard and idealized facial features associated with Hadrianic portraiture. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, reading ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ, identifying the emperor as Hadrianus Augustus. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze production of the early second century AD.
