Reverse description Bactrian camel advancing to right, depicted in a bold if roughly executed style, its characteristic humped profile clearly defined despite the heavily worn and porous surface. A Kharoshthi legend is distributed around the device in the field, recording the name and title of the issuing ruler Kujula Kadphises, the founder of the Kushan Empire. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat flat, consistent with hammered copper coinage of the early Kushan period.
