Obverse description Hammered silver denier of irregular flan. Central device features a bold cross pattée within a plain inner circle, the arms of the cross extending toward the beaded border. The surrounding circular legend reads HEINRICVS, introduced by a cross pommée, with the letters distributed evenly around the field in a somewhat uneven, hand-struck manner characteristic of 11th-century feudal coinage. The overall style is archaic, with flat relief and a rough, irregular edge typical of early medieval hammered issues.
