Descrizione del rovescio	Central device comprises a plain cross pattée contained within a beaded inner circle, with an annulet positioned in the second quarter and a pellet in the third quarter, serving as distinguishing mint or die marks. The surrounding legend reads + BEATVS PETRVS, invoking Saint Peter as the patron of the county. The lettering is set between the inner and outer beaded borders in the customary Romanesque style. The overall strike is characteristic of hammered coinage of the early twelfth-century Champagne region, with some weakness evident on the irregular flan edges.
