Obverse description Central field occupied by a plain cross pattée enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with an annulet positioned in the second quarter and a pellet in the third quarter. The cross divides the inner field into four roughly equal cantons. The surrounding legend, separated from the central motif by the beaded circle, reads HENRICVS COMES and is introduced by a cross pommée. The coin's hammered fabric gives the flan a characteristically irregular outline with slightly uneven relief throughout.
