| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the quartered heraldic shield of the Lords of Sombreffe, displaying a lion rampant in the upper dexter and lower sinister quarters, with horizontal barry divisions in the remaining quarters. The shield is flanked on either side by small stylized floral or trefoil ornaments positioned in the field. No legend is present; the design fills the flan to its irregular hammered edge. |

| Reverse description | A bold footed cross, with a slightly widened foot at the base, occupies the centre of the field, its arms extending nearly to the coin's edge. Four stylized trefoil or cinquefoil flowers are placed symmetrically in each of the four angles between the arms of the cross. The coin bears no legend, and the plain field is bounded by the irregular hammered rim characteristic of late medieval Low Countries billon coinage. |
