Obverse description Central field depicts a stylized tree or plant motif rendered in an abstract, schematic manner, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The design is characteristic of mid-12th century Flemish feudal coinage, with the motif occupying the full central area. The surrounding legend in uncial characters reads WILHELMVS, referencing the issuing count. The overall execution is typical of hammered billon deniers of the period, with somewhat irregular flan and variable relief.

Reverse description Central motif consists of a plain cross with two annulets, one pellet, and one bar disposed in the four angles, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. This cross-and-symbol design is a hallmark of feudal deniers from the County of Boulogne. The outer legend in uncial characters identifies the issuing authority. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with hand-struck medieval hammered coinage of the mid-12th century.
