Reverse description Frontal bust of a crowned or mitred ecclesiastical or regal figure, facing, depicted in simplified Romanesque style. The figure appears to hold a cross or sceptre to the right and raises the left hand in a gesture of blessing or authority. The design is enclosed within a beaded border, consistent with Bohemian deniers of the late 12th century. The flan is irregular and the relief is shallow, as expected of hammered coinage of this period. No legible legend is apparent in the field.
