| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field featuring a cross pattée within a circle, with a crescent or annulet in each of the four quadrants formed by the arms of the cross. The inner circle is surrounded by an outer legend band carrying a Latin inscription in angular, somewhat barbarous lettering. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, characteristic of early medieval Bohemian hammered coinage. |

Vladivoj ruled Bohemia for less than a year — installed by the Polish duke Bolesław I Chrobry after the expulsion of the Přemyslid Boleslaus III, he died in early 1003, almost certainly from heavy drinking. His reign was too brief and too chaotic for any substantial administrative apparatus, which makes the existence of a coinage in his name striking. These deniers represent one of the shortest-documented reigns in early Bohemian numismatics.
