Obverse description Duke or king on horseback facing right, depicted in a dynamic equestrian pose with the rider wearing a crown and holding what appears to be a lance or sceptre. The horse and rider are rendered in a bold, stylised Romanesque relief typical of Bohemian deniers of the mid-twelfth century. A beaded inner circle frames the central design. Partial Latin legend visible along the outer periphery.
