Obverse description Within a circular Latin legend reading WLADI... (for Vladislaus), a royal crown is depicted centrally in the field, with a mintmark placed on either side of the crown. The design is rendered in the characteristic flat, compact style of mid-15th century Hungarian hammered billon coinage. The flan is irregular and moderately thin, with weak strike areas typical of the series. The legend, partially visible due to the irregular planchet, identifies King Vladislaus I (Ulászló I of Hungary).

Reverse description The reverse displays the twofold Hungarian royal coat of arms, combining the Árpád dynastic horizontal stripes on one half with the patriarchal double cross on the other, set within a shield or escutcheon in the central field. A partial circular Latin legend reading IOHANNES... (for Joannes Hunyadi) surrounds the shield, identifying John Hunyadi as regent and co-issuing authority. The design reflects the joint authority exercised during the regency period of 1442–1443. Strike quality is variable, consistent with the hammered billon denomination of this period.
