Reverse description The reverse displays a mounted knight in profile facing right, seated on a horse in a striding or walking pose, executed in low relief consistent with hammered medieval coinage. The rider is schematically rendered, consistent with the Romanesque artistic conventions of the late 12th century. A partial beaded border is visible on the left side of the flan, mirroring the obverse border design. The surface shows the typical uneven strike and flan distortion associated with hand-hammered Pfennige of this period. No legend or mintmark is present.
