Obverse description Two facing busts conjoined side by side, depicted in a flat, archaic relief characteristic of Ottonian-era Rhenish coinage; a small annulet appears above the heads in the upper field. The busts are rendered in a simple, stylised manner with rounded facial features, set within a plain inner border. The overall composition is symmetrical, with no surrounding legend on this side. The flan exhibits the distinctive four-pinched ('Vierzipfliger') irregular quadrilateral form typical of early Swiss bracteate-related issues.
