Obverse description Facing bust of Duke Ulrich in crude stylized rendition, depicted holding two crosses, one in each hand, with additional cross motifs flanking the figure in the field. The effigy is rendered in the primitive Romanesque manner characteristic of early Bohemian deniers. A beaded or dotted border frames the design, with the circumferential Latin legend reading +VDALRICVS DVX arranged around the periphery.
