Obverse description Within a beaded circle (grenetis), a large Gothic letter B occupies the central field, boldly rendered and characteristic of medieval communal coinage. The letter is deeply struck, with the surrounding beaded border forming a prominent raised ring. The coin's irregular flan and hammered technique are consistent with municipal issues of medieval Corsica. No additional legend or inscription appears in the field.
